Frequently Asked
Questions

How do I arrange a care service with Caring Hands?

Contact Caring Hands and make an appointment for us to visit you at home to discuss ways we can help and then, once you have decided, you simply leave the rest to us!

What tasks will my care worker carry out?

We agree a ‘Care Plan’ which details exactly what you have instructed us to do. This then becomes our work list for each day. With the appropriate agreements in place we are also able to assist or administer medication.

Will I see the same care worker each day?

This depends on how many care visits you have each week. We very rarely have just one care worker assigned to a particular customer to allow for periods of time where your care worker may be away on holiday, however we do try to keep the number of your care workers to an absolute minimum.

Is there anything that my care worker is not able to do?

Once we have established exactly what you want on each visit, we will discuss with you if there is anything that cannot be undertaken.

What if I don't like my care package or want to make changes?

As people's care needs very often change we ensure that the care package may need reviewing from time to time. This is why we carry out reviews on a regular basis. We are always pleased to hear from members of the immediate family about effective methods for delivering the care service for their relative.

What about my personal security?

All our team have been through a rigorous vetting procedure before they start working with us as we take security very seriously. In addition, all staff will always be in uniform and carry a personalised identification card which shows their name, photograph and signature.

How do I pay for my care?

We will send you a bill every month. You are able to pay by standing order if you wish.

How much do Caring Hands services cost and can I get any help with the fees?

Each plan is different and some people are able to claim help towards the fees. This will be explain to you when setting up your care plan.

What happens when the office is closed?

The office is open 7:00AM to 5:00PM Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 2:00PM Saturday and Sunday.  An emergency number is provided with all care packages.
